Corinne Starr is an award-winning Australian artist, Musical Director and educator devoted to awakening the voice in children, in communities, and in the collective heart of humanity. Her work lives at the intersection of music, belonging and social change, where song becomes a bridge between cultures, a catalyst for connection, and a pathway home to self.
As a Musical Director, Corinne is known for her ability to bring large and diverse groups into cohesion through music — shaping collective experiences that are both artistically compelling and deeply human. Honouring language and culture is the heartbeat of these experiences. Her work combines creative direction, facilitation and education, guiding participants into a shared field of expression, trust and belonging.
Renowned for the joy she brings to every space she leads, Corinne creates vibrant, music-led experiences that invite people to soften, to listen, and to rise — together. At the centre of her work is a deep commitment to children and the belief that their voices carry not only innocence, but wisdom, clarity and vision for the future.
Guided by the principles of peace, compassion and connection, her work is devoted to creating spaces where humanity can remember itself — through voice, through listening, and through shared creative expression.
She is the founder and director of The Universal Youth Choir for Compassion and Connection (UYCCC) — a living, global tapestry of young voices woven across cultures, continents and languages. Here, children sing in honour of humanity and the Earth, carrying messages of compassion, connection and peace. Each song honours First Nations languages and perspectives, ensuring that ancient wisdom walks alongside the voices of the next generation.
Music is our universal language. UYCCC is a multilingual movement — a rising tide of love, igniting a wildfire of hope, connection, peace and shared humanity across the globe.
Through this work, Corinne is not only creating performances, but cultivating a new paradigm of youth-led expression — where children are empowered as cultural contributors, storytellers and advocates for a more compassionate and connected world.
Corinne’s work has reached international stages, including conducting the largest children’s choir for climate action at COP28, where over six million people witnessed the power of young voices united in purpose. She led workshops across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, guiding children through a creative process that culminated in a live performance alongside pre-recorded voices from five continents — demonstrating the unifying power of collective voice on a global scale.
Through her program Search for the Sparkle, Corinne creates immersive, valuesbased learning environments where children explore creativity, emotional expression and their relationship with the natural world — remembering their place within a greater whole. The program integrates music, storytelling and collaborative creation to support wellbeing, empathy, confidence and intercultural understanding.
Her commitment to nurturing young voices is also expressed through her bespoke mentoring program, Voices of the Future, which she founded in 2006. Through this program, Corinne has personally mentored over 50 young people, supporting them to discover, develop and trust their voice as a powerful tool for self-expression, creativity and leadership.
Her work is deeply rooted in respect for culture and community. She has collaborated with First Nations communities in Australia and Indigenous communities in Indonesia, supporting the preservation and sharing of cultural stories through music — listening, learning, and creating in ways that honour both tradition and future. Her work is grounded in cultural humility and long-term relationship building, ensuring that creative outcomes are both respectful and inclusive.
Her global engagement also includes speaking at the Global Plant Humanities conference in Nepal, alongside offering her time in service at a local orphanage — reflecting her ongoing commitment to community, care and contribution beyond the stage.
Over the past two decades, Corinne has partnered with a range of philanthropic and community organisations, including The Island Foundation (Indonesia), Caring for Cambodia, St. Jude’s (Africa), The Little Dreams Foundation (Switzerland), and One Mob Dreaming Choir (Australia), contributing her artistry and leadership to initiatives that support children, education and wellbeing.
Alongside her work with children, Corinne has engaged over 50,000 participants globally through her program Discover Your Voice, partnering with organisations including MCI, Unilever, Moët Hennessy, Diageo, Nike and Shell. This work emerged from her artistic vision that when people embody their values through song, it can shape meaningful, values-led decision making.
Her methodology draws on both artistic practice and emerging research in the neuroscience of singing — including its capacity to regulate the nervous system, increase oxytocin and strengthen social bonding — making it a powerful tool for wellbeing, leadership and collective cohesion across diverse settings.
As a multi-award-winning artist, Corinne brings a depth of creative excellence and global reach. She has toured internationally with her work Melt, performing to audiences of up to 20,000 people, including a standout performance at the opening of the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. She has released five albums to date and is currently creating her sixth, with her compositions receiving multi-million views globally.
Her album Melt, released at the Stonehenge Summer Solstice, received a World Peace Award in recognition of its positive contribution to the planet. The accompanying film went on to receive two Best Nature Film awards in the United States, further cementing its impact at the intersection of music, storytelling and environmental consciousness.
Corinne has collaborated with musicians whose credits include Michael Jackson, Bette Midler, Christina Aguilera, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin and James Taylor.
Her work also extends deeply into children’s creative education. She has composed music for three commercial children’s musicals in Singapore, written a hit song for the Hi-5 children’s television series, and co-composed Life for Art in Nature Global. In collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Playeum in Singapore, she curated and delivered creative workshops for Mendaki children and led numerous early childhood music programs. In 2010, she released Wow, a children’s storybook designed to support English language learning through song, and in 2021 published 10 Reasons Why Singing is Freedom, supporting mental health and wellbeing through singing.
Everything Corinne creates is guided by a clear and unwavering intention: to bring people back into relationship with themselves, with each other, and with the living world around them.
Over the course of her career, Corinne has reached and engaged tens of thousands of people across the globe — from mentoring young voices and leading children’s choirs, to facilitating large-scale cultural, educational and corporate initiatives. Her work spans continents, communities and sectors, unified by a single purpose: to use music as a universal language to foster connection, wellbeing and positive social change.
Through her work as a Musical Director, artist and educator, she continues to nurture a generation of voices who will not only sing… but lead, listen and shape a more peaceful, compassionate and connected world.
